Supporting learning beyond the classroom
The AI-SECRETT FSTP Call offers financial support for taking part in extracurricular activities linked to the AI-SECRETT online master’s programme, such as summer and winter schools, thematic workshops and intensive training events. The Universitat de València (UVEG) runs the scheme on behalf of the AI-SECRETT consortium, to lower the economic barriers to participation.

Total funding
€600,000

The call has a total budget of €600,000. It reimburses up to 50% of your eligible costs, to a maximum of €5,000 per person.
The amount awarded is calculated from the costs in your indicative cost breakdown and adjusted to your country of origin, following the latest adjustment coefficients of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (see, for example, the 2023–2024 work programme). The Selection Committee may cap cost items it considers excessive or out of line with typical market prices for the place and period.
You can receive support from this call only once.
This is the first of two yearly editions of the call, which share the available resources equally. Together they will support at least 240 people. The AI-SECRETT consortium reserves the right to add an extra allocation to the budget, up to twice the amount initially allocated.
You can apply if you are a natural person and:
The list of eligible countries may change without prior notice.
* This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
Travel and accommodation costs, actual and justified.
Registration or participation fees, actual and documented.
Other costs, actual, justified and documented.
Only expenses incurred after the date on which you submit the application concerned are eligible.
These are the costs you report in your indicative cost breakdown.
The call opens on 1 October 2026 and has five cut-off dates, each at 23:59 Brussels time:
Applications received by each cut-off date are evaluated together, and support is awarded for as long as funds are available. You can apply at more than one cut-off date, but you can receive support only once.
Applications are accepted only online, through the AI-SECRETT GoodGrants platform. Fill in the form and attach:
1
A signed application form and your CV in Europass format.
2
A motivation letter that states your employment status and financial need, together with documents supporting a disadvantaged background or a priority category, where applicable.
3
Signed declarations (no conflict of interest, no double funding, etc.), using the templates on the platform.
4
Proof of enrolment or acceptance in the AI-SECRETT online master’s programme and proof of enrolment or acceptance in at least one AI-SECRETT extracurricular activity.
5
An indicative cost breakdown covering travel, accommodation, registration or participation fees and other costs.
Both proofs must be dated 1 October 2026 or later, and neither the programme nor the activity may have ended by the cut-off date you choose.
All documents must be in English. Unofficial translations of documents originally in another language are accepted, but you bear the risk of any misinterpretation during the evaluation.
An incomplete application, or one not submitted through the GoodGrants platform, is discarded and can be resubmitted for the next cut-off date.
A Selection Committee set up at UVEG assesses each application for admissibility, eligibility and merit. Admissibility and eligibility are checked first, and only eligible applications are scored.
No minimum thresholds or weighting apply. Eligible applications are ranked by total score, within the available budget. Where scores are equal, priority goes, in this order, to:
The procedure follows the principles of transparency, equal treatment, confidentiality and absence of conflict of interest.
UVEG endorses the final award decision. Every applicant receives a written justification of the decision, with the terms for appeal.
If you are selected, you will be asked to sign a Financial Support Agreement that specifies the supported activity, the eligible costs, the maximum amount, the payment schedule and your reporting obligations. If you do not sign within the time indicated, you may lose the grant.
UVEG pays the support, normally after you have taken part in the activity and your report and cost statement have been approved. In justified cases, a small part of the support may be paid in advance.
Consult the call documents and the resources linked to the application process.
